Potential output - In economics, potential output (also refered to as "natural real gross domestic product") refers to the highest level of real Gross Domestic Product output that can be sustained over the long term. The existence of a limit is due to natural and institutional constraints.
One Way Voice Link - A One-Way Voice Link (OWVL) is a shortwave radio broadcast used by spy networks to communicate with agents in the field. This system often employs recorders to transmit pre-recorded messages in real time or in 'burst transmissions,' which minimize the time that a spy needs to be 'on the air.
Discrete cosine transform - The discrete cosine transform (DCT) is a Fourier-related transform similar to the discrete Fourier transform (DFT), but using only real numbers. It is equivalent to a DFT of roughly twice the length, operating on real data with even symmetry (since the Fourier transform of a real and even function is real and even), where in some variants the input and/or output data are shifted by half a sample.
Classical dichotomy - The classical dichotomy theory refers to the division between real and nominal variables in economics. Real variables as output, unemployment, or real interest rates do not necessarily have to be influenced by changes in nominal variables, as most importantly the nominal money supply.
