United States federal judicial circuit - Congress has divided the United States into a number of judicial circuits, each of which includes several District Courts and a Court of Appeals to decide appeals from cases decided in the district courts within the circuit.

Trial courts for these cases are the Sozialgerichte (Social Courts).
Federal Court of Justice of Germany - The Bundesgerichtshof or BGH (German for federal court) is the highest appeals court in Germany for cases of civil and criminal law. In civil law cases, it hears appeals against decisions of the Oberlandesgerichte (Superior State Courts), in criminal law cases against those of the Landgerichte or Inferior State Courts.
