A standard cell library is a collection of low level logic functions such as AND, OR, INVERT, flip-flops, latches and buffers.
The Art of Electronics (book) - The Art of Electronics, by Paul Horowitz and Winfield Hill, is a popular textbook for learning about analog and digital electronics. It is sometimes referred to as the "electronics bible", and remains a popular text, although its last (2d) edition dates back to 1989.

Practical Electronics for Inventors : 2004 has been a terrific year so far for the TAB Electronics/Robotics line of books.
