Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy - Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy is a series of anatomy lessons on video presented by Robert Acland. It has recently been rereleased on DVD as Acland's DVD Atlas of Human Anatomy.
Atlas (anatomy) - In anatomy, the Atlas (C1) is the topmost (first) cervical vertebra of the spine. It is named for the Atlas of mythology, because it supports the globe of the head.
Axis (anatomy) - In anatomy, the second cervical vertebra (C2) of the spine is named the axis or epistropheus. It forms the pivot upon which the first cervical vertebra (the atlas), which carries the head, rotates.
California Insurance Equality Act - The California Insurance Equality Act (AB 2208) is a state law that requires California insurance providers and managed care plans (HMOs) to provide coverage for registered domestic partners that is equal to spousal coverage. The law complements California’s Domestic Partnership Rights and Responsibilities Act of 2003 (AB 205), which grants registered domestic partners most of the same rights and responsibilities under California law as belong to married couples.
